What are sight words?
Sight words are those words which are most commonly used and which be easily memorized by young or kindergarten children. Children are encouraged to understand and remember these words as a whole by sight without any strategy to decode. You can download our free printable kindergarten sight words flash cards.
Generally, kindergarten children don’t need to be able to read these words until they complete their kindergarten class. They just need to have an idea about the sight words and need to know where and how to use these words. Usually these flashcards are helpful for kids age from 3 to 7 years old.
These words are very important for our kindergarten children because these words are more than 75% being used in beginning children’s printed material. If your child learns these words in Kindergarten, it will be easier for him to still identify those words as he learns new words in the next grade.
